Project Outline
The Stirling Highway Redevelopment aims to review the existing environment along Stirling Highway and guide redevelopment to help increase the housing diversity within the City of Nedlands as part of the review of Town Planning Scheme No. 2.
The project is broken into four (4) phases as follows:
1. Collection of Community information and needs;
2. Establishing a boundary and guidelines;
3. Consultation with the Community on the proposed guidelines; and
4. Implementation of the guidelines into Town Planning Scheme No. 3
The outcome for the project is to provide design guidelines for the Stirling Highway area which will facilitate redevelopment of properties with the provision of mixed use (commercial/office and residential) buildings to help bridge the population growth and housing type 'gap' within the City of Nedlands.
